The digital project manager for construction projects

At last – the ability to view and supervise a building site from a single position. That was the vision that master builder Walter Fürthauer had. Since there was nothing on the market that was suitable for meeting the daily challenges, he decided to do something about it himself. The result is the innovative app “Baumaster”.

“Baumaster” allows site consultation meetings to be digitised which in turn makes it possible to find a single solution that meets the needs of all the companies involved in the project. Digitising all the records, photos, lists and status reports of the individual jobs on a site ensures efficient coordination of construction work. This is made possible by to-do lists for all those involved which are updated daily and can be consulted and edited on the online platform irrespective of the plant and equipment required. The customer also knows how his building is progressing at any moment.

Fürthauer allowed the ideas to mature for years in his head before he wrote them down and finally began to implement them. He was assisted by the IT Cluster of the Upper Austrian business agency Business Upper Austria which brought the right partners together in a cooperative project involving several clusters and arranged the necessary funding.

CEO Fürthauer has worked as a master builder for many years. He says, “In my long professional experience I have often noticed that the project management is out of step with the times. What was particularly irritating is that keeping records still involves so many bits of paper.” For him it is clear that his “Baumaster” app is the digital project manager of the future.
